Michaela Drum

Registered Psychologist, Managing Director

An exceptionally high quality of service delivery and integrity is a fundamental part of Michaela’s approach to her work as Managing Director at Added Insight. Her upbeat, forward-thinking approach to account management is central to the company’s impressive track record of long-standing partnerships with clients. Michaela invests in her relationships with clients to deliver a complete and reliable service, nurturing clients by providing advice and expertise that adds exceptional value to their projects.

As the founding director of Added Insight, Michaela has headed the company since 2005. Her vision for an innovative, client-focused and technologically savvy business has transformed Added Insight into a market leader.

Michaela was one of the first organisational psychologists in New Zealand to identify that a robust suite of on-line assessment tools would help many clients make quality recruitment and selection decisions. She was heavily involved in the evolution of the In-Site platform, and continues to conduct research and development of new elements.

Michaela keeps clients’ needs at the forefront of her mind at all times. As a senior consultant her key skill is identifying clients’ real needs and carefully formulating bespoke solutions – often going beyond expectations to undertake ground-breaking research to create new robust tools that perfectly suit a client’s requirements. She is driven by a passion for ensuring that Added Insight’s offerings are relevant, future-proof and constantly improving to reflect international best practice guidelines and local requirements.

Fiona Hancock

Registered Psychologist, Director

Fiona is a co-owner and Director of Added Insight. One of the important strengths Fiona brings to Added Insight is her broad professional experience – particularly in the area of organisational development, which means our clients have greater choice of psychometric and assessment tools.

Knowledgeable, clear-thinking and with a manner that immediately puts people at ease, she is as much at home leading large workshops or facilitating team-building sessions as with providing feedback for candidates and hiring managers.

Fiona has considerable experience and expertise in assessment centre design, co-ordination, and feedback, and in behavioural and competency-based interviewing. Fiona’s organisational development experience includes:

  • Assessment centre design, evaluation, feedback, evaluator and role player training
  • Behavioural and competency-based interviewing and interviewer training
  • Feedback coaching for leadership development (utilising tools such as 360o surveys, personality assessments, emotional intelligence assessments, HBDI)
  • Facilitation of Leadership Development programmes
  • Leading team building sessions (utilising tools such as MTTI, HBDI, Team Insight Survey and StrengthsFinder)

Fiona is enthusiastic about building long term partnerships with clients. She thrives on researching new ways to improve or add value to projects and results.

As a registered New Zealand psychologist, she also provides a professional leadership role within Added Insight.

Early in her career, Fiona gained a client perspective from several in-house HR roles – including for a London law firm and a British investment bank. On her return to New Zealand, she worked for a prominent executive recruitment and organisational development company before setting up her own consultancy and eventually becoming co-owner of Added Insight in January 2013.

Suzy Craies

Support Consultant

Suzy joined the Added Insight team in late 2014 to support the growing demand for Added Insight’s psychometric testing and 360˚ surveys. Suzy’s naturally friendly manner and calm approach to her work reduces stress and anxiety for clients and candidates undergoing psychometric tests and development assessments. For those unfamiliar with such assessments, she takes particular care to explain the processes and purpose with a view to making it a positive experience for the individual that yields useful information for their further development.

Suzy’s superb research skills and current studies ensure she is up to the minute with latest thinking in organisational and industrial psychology, and she is generous in sharing the benefits of this knowledge with our team and clients.

Among her strengths are the application of science, statistics, and evidence-based practices. She has a particular research interest and knowledge in work-life balance and in how an individuals’ involvement in sport translates to best-fit roles in business and organisations.

Her care and attention to detail is particularly valuable for project planning, administration, report writing, and providing feedback to candidates.

Matt Kemp

Developer

Matt has provided expert technical support to the Added Insight team since 2011. He has been instrumental in developing Added Insight’s online assessment testing platform (In-Site) and responsible for integrating the system with both Oracle Talent Management Cloud (Oracle Taleo Enterprise Cloud Service) and SnapHire recruitment technology. Added Insight is a Gold-level member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN).

A web developer since 1999, Matt has specialised on projects featuring customer interfaces, registration processes and large databases. Above all, he has a rare talent for translating complex specifications and technology into elegant tools and easy-to-understand interfaces for users.

Matt is responsible for continually developing the In-Site platform including adding new features and tools, improving usability, and customising testing and reports in line with client requirements.

A valued member of our team, Matt also manages the high-performance hosting for the Added Insight ssytem, which is capable of serving more than 90,000 questionnaires a day. He ensures it operates smoothly and securely.

One of Matt’s key strengths is his ability to suggest and develop advanced technical checks which enhance the security, confidentiality and validity of online assessments.

 

Daniel Spencer

Consultant

Daniel provides professional guidance and on-the-ground support for our Australia based clients and their candidates.

Technically skilled and experienced in delivering psychometric testing, including supervising remote testing, Daniel is able to put people at ease while maintaining the strict conditions necessary to provide consistent and reliable results for clients. He understands the intricacies of personality tests and how these relate to various job requirements.

His analysis and report writing is clear and concise, and he focuses on providing quality information for clients – and candidates.

Daniel spent three years as a consultant at our Auckland office before moving to Queensland in 2011, rejoining the Added Insight team on a project basis in 2015.

Anika Harper

Consultant

Anika provides professional guidance and support for our clients and their candidates using our psychometric testing and 360˚ assessments.

Anika’s open and engaged manner immediately puts people at ease. She has a talent for building lasting professional business relationships with clients through careful project design and management, thoughtful analysis, and ongoing support over months and years.

Her astute feedback, clear reports and effective presentations and training sessions contribute many long-term benefits for clients and their hiring managers.

She is able to guide clients in the most effective use of psychometric testing and interpretation of 360o assessment results – leading to better outcomes in developing managers and leaders within organisations and identifying untapped potential. Anika is also experienced in aligning psychometric testing with the various dimensions of an organisation’s work by really getting to know what its people do, and how they do it.

Anika spent six years as a consultant at our Auckland office before moving to Sydney in 2012, rejoining the Added Insight team on a project basis in 2015.
